The main office for CTE is located in 135 Budig Hall. You can also contact us via email at email@example.com or by phone at 785-864-4199.
From 8am-5pm Monday through Friday during the academic year, there will be someone at the CTE office willing to help you schedule a consultation, learning more about our services and programs, and provide assistance for you as an instructor. On this last point, we have a library that KU instructors can browse through. With over a hundred titles covering a wide range of topics across the disciplines, this library can be a valuable asset to all instructors at KU. We also have copies of our CTE Publications, including our Teaching Matters newsletter, Reflections from the Classroom, The Scholarship of Teaching, as well as posters developed by KU faculty as a representation of their recent work in redesigning a particular course.
We want you to know that CTE is a center that encourages visits from instructors who are interested in improving their teaching practices and encouraging student learning. We can also help provide support for GTAs and faculty members interested in learning how to best represent their teaching, a topic that Andrea Greenhoot and Bob Goldstein discuss in this Two-Minute Mentor video. Our staff is comprised of either current or former instructors in fields such as psychology, journalism, and English. As such, we know that teaching can be both rewarding and frustrating, and we are here to help you to navigate through the ups and downs of the academic calendar.
Below you will find CTE’s mailing address, as well as a map of our location within Budig Hall.
